Win $10,000: My Africa Photo Contest

\"Capture56\"This photo contest aims to celebrate 10 years of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. The organization is producing a photo book titled \”My Africa,\” looking forward to the next 10 years and capturing Africans’ visions of the future of the continent.

MyAfrica is an opportunity for photographers of all abilities and ages to capture their vision of Africa through their own lenses. MIF is seeking images that capture Africa in its many diverse settings and communities, depicting what developments, challenges and opportunities could potentially look like over the next 10 years. For MIF, turning 10 isn’t only about looking back at its history – it’s also about looking ahead and thinking about Africa in the future. The theme is open to your personal interpretation but we’re looking for beautiful, inspiring and original photographs.

The collection will ultimately become part of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. A selection of the best photographs will be displayed at MIF’s 10 year anniversary celebration in October, with prizes of $10,000 for the top three entries.

There are three categories:

  • professional,
  • amateur
  • under 18s.

Entries will be judged by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation team and the winners announced on our website and social media channels. A selection of the best photographs will be displayed in an exhibition at the 10 year celebration, and selected entries will also be displayed on the Mo Ibrahim Foundation website.
