The Goldman Sachs 10,000 women initiative in collaboration with the Enterprise Development Center at the Pan-African University is a global effort aimed at empowering 10,000 women in developing and emerging economies across the world. Every year, the program provides scholarships to underserved women - the package includes a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management and follow-up services such as business advisory, consulting clinics, networking, and mentoring. The initiative is set to increase the pool of women entrepreneurs in Nigeria.  The program is currently looking for qualified applicants before the deadline - the 30th of October, 2012. Selection Criteria: - Company must be owned or managed by a woman, - Should be a functional business (at least six (6) months in operation), - Business must have at least five (5) employees, - Business must have high growth potential, - High local value added will be an advantage; Once the application form is submitted, short listed applicants will receive an invitation for an interview in the first week of November, 2012. The training (6 weeks over 5 months – typically one full week a month from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, WAT) will be in Abuja. The program  is set to begin begin February, 2013.
