The founding meeting of the Crans Montana African Women’s Forum will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on March 21 to 22, 2014 jointly with the Crans Montana Forum on Africa and South-South Cooperation. The Crans Montana African Women’s Forum has multiple objectives, which will be defined and clarified over time, thanks to those who join the Forum’s activities. The essential basis of these objectives are as follows:
  • Provide African women with a platform for expressing themselves that enjoys a visibility they have never before had
  • Open debates, discussions, and sharing of experiences to women and men from all over the world, so that in-depth, high-quality exchanges can stimulate a deeper exploration of thinking, thus allowing the means and tools for action to be defined
  • Create national and regional activities that translate reflections begun during the annual meeting into reality
  • The Crans Montana African Women’s Forum will alternate one annual session in Africa, then one outside of Africa.
