The Mobile Impact Ventures Program, Mlab East Africa’s accelerator program for impact ventures with innovative solutions in agriculture, health & water and education, is currently seeking applications for its second cohort.
The program supports social ventures for 3 months through a tailor-made acceleration process, which targets the ventures’ business models, technology, and customer development through intensive business masters classes, coaching with business experts and mentoring with sector specialists. Other interventions include meetups with domain practitioners for knowledge exchange and to build the ventures’ social capital.
Also offered by the program is needs based coaching and training on mobile technologies. The ventures also get support on user experience and graphics designs for their products. The program assists graduates to raise impact investments and gives $5,000 to selected ventures for traction proof. Marketing support is also included for market ready products.
