The Federal Ministry of Health of Nigeria (FMOH) is leading the development of the Global Financing Facility Investment Case and seeks to incorporate private sector driven innovative approaches. FMOH in partnership with Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria, Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (implementing partners) and IFC (coordinating partner) is soliciting submissions from innovators, entrepreneurs, organizations, NGOs and other non-state actors with promising innovations in service delivery.
The Nigeria Service Delivery Innovation Challenge (NSDIC) seeks to find innovations in service delivery to improve the quality and coverage of Reproductive Maternal, Neonatal Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) and Nutrition interventions across the country especially the North East and hard to reach areas.
- Concept Notes should be between 3-5 pages and should be for innovative solutions that have been piloted, proven and are currently being implemented or could be replicated in Northeast Nigeria.
- Innovations must respond to a pre-defined problem statement (see attached document) in the specified priority areas (RMNCAH and Nutrition, CRVS, Supply Chain, Quality)
- Submissions must demonstrate an innovative approach (with a clear description of the innovation and evidence that the services are not already being delivered);
- Innovations submitted should have been tested, piloted and proven;
- Innovations should have an efficient (low cost per capita) and scalable approach;
- Applicant must have the capacity to deploy the service delivery innovation(s) in Northeast Nigeria;
- Have a rigorous framework for results measurement;
- Have a credible track record;
- Be legally incorporated/registered business with regulatory approvals.
