Village Capital is looking for entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa for its FinTech Africa 2016 program. The event aims to find startups who are not only in the fintech sector, but will be able to increase the financial health of low-income populations. Village Capital lists criteria such as using data and analytics to leverage credit and payments, increase efficiency in supply chains and distribution channels, and tools for working-capital loans and financial management loans.
The event is to be hosted in conjunction with The MasterCard Foundation and the DOEN Foundation.
PRIZE: $50,000
Program Dates:
- Workshop 1: December 7-10,
- Workshop 2: January 24-27,
- Workshop 3: February 28-03
The program will take place in Nairobi, Lagos, and Accra.
