Are You Tech Savvy? Apply for the Hack Jozi Challenge

The #Hack.Jozi Challenge is a boot camp for startup entrepreneurs. The goal of the program is to contribute towards fostering skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the broad area of digital technology. The program is in support of capacity development, job creation, and enterprise development.

We want you to come up with the most innovative digital ideas to help enrich your communities. We will reward the best ideas with R5 000 000 for digital start-ups.

Who: Anyone can enter. Entrepreneurs could either be individuals or teams, preferably with the relevant technical capabilities, an opportunity for entrants to formulate partnerships to improve their ventures.

What: Startups must use a digital technology to address a need in the community.

How:  Once selected, participants will be awarded membership to Jozis digital hub plus a cash amount. Support will also be provided in the form of technical requirements and mentorship.

What you need to know:  Your project page is where you will share your story. What are you looking to create with the help of your community? Use your video and description to quickly and clearly communicate what you’re trying to do and why you’re doing it. Inspire excitement for your idea, and make potential backers confident in your ability to see it through. The video should not be longer than to 2 mins.
