Over the past couple of years, the technology sector in Africa has experienced immense growth from both the international tech market, and a host of local tech startups have grown to be extremely successful. As large tech corporations like Google, Microsoft, IBM, and Hewlett-Packard continue to invest and show interest in the African tech space, more startups like IrokoTV, TaxiRank, mVerified, Jobberman, to mention a few come on the scene. The overall opportunities available for the technology sector in Africa will continue to be a hot-topic both at the international and local level.
